About Hanson-Maves Company

Hanson-Maves Company, a local moving and storage company, was founded in 1977 by Larry and Merrilee Nielsen in Grand Forks, ND. That same year, the company became an agent for Bekins Van Lines, providing nationwide moving services. In 1982, the company opened a warehouse in Minot, ND, to better serve the North Dakota region.

With the addition of a third warehouse, Hanson-Maves Company expanded its service coverage throughout North Dakota and the surrounding region. In 2006, the second generation took over the family business, continuing the tradition of providing exceptional service to customers. For more than 40 years, we have remained a full-service moving and storage company, offering solutions for local, long-distance, and international moves.
